China-Belarus win-win cooperation under the framework of BRI | Updated: 2018-12-26 15:42

Rudy Kiryl, Belarusian Ambassador to China, recently sat down with China Daily to share his views of the two sides' mutually beneficial cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

A China-Belarus Industrial Park, also known as Great Stone, has been built by the two sides under the BRI framework. "This is not only the biggest park in Belarus, this is the biggest park China ever made abroad," Kiryl emphasized.

Kiryl mentioned another cooperative achievement between the two sides: BelGee, a light car joint venture which has enabled the heavy vehicle-only producing country to start makingitsown cars.

People to people exchanges under the BRI framework increased with the year of tourism in 2018 and availability of 30-day visa-free travel for Chinese to Belarus.

In the future, Belarus would like to cooperate with China in the wood processing and IT sectors, said Kiryl in the interview.
