The construction of Yongkang Apartment, a large rental housing estate, has solved housing problems for the young employees of over 60 companies in Beijing’s Economic-Technological Development Area (E-Town).

Yongkang Apartment, with a total construction area of 130,000 square meters, is funded by the Beijing Economic-technological Investment & Development Corp; Beijing E-Town Real Estate Ltd. is responsible for its property service. Now 6,000 young employees have moved in.

Noticing that E-Town is a cluster of young companies, young employees and new thoughts, the E-Town Real Estate Party branch worked out an open model after a great deal of exploration and experimentation. Open forms of Party branch organization and working methods strengthen unity among young employees, propel companies to better development and highlight political guidance of the Party.

Open Organization

“The E-Town Real Estate Party branch was established in Dec. 2005, with 63 Party members in total and five people on the branch committee,” an official said. Since 2015 the E-Town Real Estate Party branch has broken away from a traditional party building framework with an administrative subordinate relationship and started to apply an open approach by creating a branding party building program called “Yongkang Apartment Ideal Home”. They have rearranged party resources and provided services directly to clients while establishing co-operational links among E-Town Real Estate and apartment and property service industries to better serve young migrant workers.
