Crotchless pants in China

( bbs.chinadaily.com.cn) Updated: 2015-01-06 08:16

Editor's note: In China, children under the age of approximately three years old used to wear pants that are split or crotchless. It's an increasingly rare sight in the cities now, but bare baby bottoms are still common in rural areas. What do you think? You're welcome to leave your comments.

Bloke (expat in China)

While I wouldn't want my child's genitalia exposed to the smog, dirt and physical dangers of this world, I can accept it is cheaper and more convenient than buying and cleaning diapers for a poor family. However, that is no excuses for letting the child go to the toilet in a public place. It's not a tradition, I'm sure it's just inconsiderate and uneducated behavior.
