To help, or not to help?

I help people if I can. Sometimes that means waiting with them for the police or ambulance to arrive. One time it meant helping direct traffic around a motorcycle rider. Another time, it meant making sure people didn't rush to move someone who might have had a back injury. Every time I help someone, there are other people helping too. Sometimes I'm the first, but not always. Am I a saint? No way. No one has ever asked me for money, they just said thanks.

To help, or not to help?

To help, or not to help? To help, or not to help? To help, or not to help?
What surprised you the most in China? Should Chinese care about "face"? Laowai, is the term offensive?
