CHONGQING -- No casualties were reported following a 5-magnitude earthquake in Wulong county in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality Thursday afternoon.

The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers at 5:43 pm.

More than 30 houses were damaged and one collapsed. Six people were slightly injured, local authorities said Thursday night.

The quake has caused about 6 million yuan ($910,000) in economic losses.

Mobile phone service was disrupted but restored by 10 pm.

The scenic area of Wulong Karst in the county, which was listed as a world natural heritage by UNESCO in 2007, has not been affected, according to the authorities.

Some scenes for the Hollywood blockbuster "Transformers 4: Age of Extinction" were filmed in the area.
