10 Chinese cities see highest jump in home prices in the world

Ten cities in the Chinese mainland recorded the world's highest annual increases in home prices in 2016, according to a report jointly released by Hurun Research Institute and real estate agency Global House Buyer. 

Hefei in East China's Anhui province posted the largest annual gain of 48.4 percent, followed by Xiamen in East China's Fujian province (45.5 percent) and Nanjing in East China's Jiangsu province (42 percent).

Among the top 20 cities, 15 are in China, according to the report. The Canadian city of Vancouver ranked No 11.
