Among the collection's highlights are reinterpretations of the frog button, a classic element of Chinese garment. Beyond fastening clothing, the intricate closures symbolize connection, balance and harmony in Eastern philosophy. The designs distill this concept into contemporary jewelry by placing a gemstone at the center of two gold arcs, echoing the elegant structure of traditional garment fastenings. The result is a seamless blend of form and function, where craftsmanship itself becomes ornament.
During the exhibition, Chow Tai Fook also hosted a cross-disciplinary forum moderated by Catherine Yu, the brand's general manager of high jewelry. Lieou was joined by photographer Feng Hai, architect Zhuang Ziyu, and fashion designer Chen Yayi for a discussion on craftsmanship, creative expression and the evolving language of Eastern aesthetics in contemporary design.
