Gymnastics school heads accused of sexual assault

This photo shows the Hunan Provincial Gymnastics School in Changsha, capital of Central China's Hunan province, on March 19. Oriental Morning Post reported Wednesday that the head of the school, Liu Zhiqiang, 48, and deputy head Zeng Rong, 52, were detained in November 2013 under suspicion of molesting six girls on several occasions. And a lawyer called Du Xiaoqiu said the fact that the students board at the school and are not allowed visitors means that they are unable to report sexual assaults. The school is famous for launching the careers of Chinese Olympic champions Liu Xuan and Li Xiaopeng, and the school's graduates have won a total of six Olympic gold medals, 15 gold World Championships medals and two at the Asian Games.
