The Open Networking Foundation and the BII Group recently signed a contract to launch an open software defined networks (SDN) promotion center at the Global SDNFV Tech Conference to improve the development of open network systems in the Asia-Pacific area.

The Open SDN promotion center will launch a Chinese version of an SDN training and testing program in 2017, and will hold an ONF member workday in Beijing in April or May of 2017. Hundreds of open networks experts will gather in Beijing to promote the development of global open networks.

The Open SDN promotion center is a bridge connecting China and other countries. It will inspire China to participate in the revolution of worldwide open networks, and promote SDN/NFV business deployments in Asia-Pacific regions, while BII will actively participate in formulation of the standards of SDN/NFV. The BII testing and certification center is a neutral SDN/NFV technology evaluation and innovation center which provides authoritative neutral testing and certification services to global consumers. The Open SDN promotion center will service more diverse localized enterprises in Asia-Pacific regions.
