An engineering center in E-town upgraded to national level

The Beijing BII Group Future Internet Engineering Center, located in Digital Factory in E-town, was upgraded to national level recently.

The center was given a new name—“China Future Internet Engineering Center”. It is the first national level future Internet engineering center in China.

The center will promote future Internet development in China, and support the “Internet +” action plan.

The engineering center will build a technology service platform based on the Internet, and will focus on core technologies such as DNS root name servers, IPv6 future Internet, Software Defined Network, and Industry Internet.

The committee of experts consists of 36 international experts and scholars led by Wu Hequan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Liu Dong, director of the center, said that the Internet will influence various industries and different sectors of our society and economy. Only by developing core technologies can we stay ahead of other countries, and avoid being controlled by others.
