E-town bonded direct-purchase center is to open in March

Updated: 2016-01-27 17:17

E-town bonded direct-purchase center started an internal trial run on January 18.

The trial run is currently only available to the staff there. In the early stage of operation, the center sells consumption products in 8 categories—food, beverages, alcohol, grain and oils, toiletries, daily chemical products, mother & babies, and cosmetics.

The products in the center are much cheaper than elsewhere. For example, a Starbucks bottled coffee usually cost 21 to 23 yuan in other supermarkets, but the price here is only 14.9. The cheap price is a result of the close location between the center and its warehouse, which saves a great deal of logistic costs. Consumers can also pay with Wechat payment, so they only need to bring their phone when shopping.

The qualities of the products are double-checked by the customs and General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The center will have an online store soon. The center will officially open in March.
