Sanya tops most popular domestic tourist destination

Sanya was granted the annual most popular domestic tourist destination at the awards ceremony of the “China Tourism Overall Ranking List of 2012” in Beijing, on March 30.

It was organized by China Urban First Media Tourism Alliance, which was considered as the “Oscar” award in China’s tourism circle.

The reason why Sanya has made itself on many tourist ranking lists is based on its focuses on improving high-quality tourism service, according to the insiders. Sanya has positioned itself as an international tourism city and a world-class seaside holiday destination after Hainan province began to construct itself as an international tourism island in 2010.

The city has duty-free policy and high-end tourism products, such as cruise and yacht. It also provides professional honeymoon trip and wedding ceremony service, as well as conventions and exhibitions.

In addition, Sanya has made great progress in public service and marketing for tourism, which has brought good reputation for its tourism products and brand image at home and broad. China Urban First Media Tourism Alliance was launched by 22 mainstream print media nationwide, including The Beijing News, Shanghai Evening News, Guangzhou Daily. These media cover a region with a 0.94-billion population and their total calculation reaches 26 million. The alliance’s “China Tourism Overall Ranking List” award is the most authentic and influential evaluation for tourism brands in China. It also has a considerable hold in the industry, which has incomparable advantage in brand building and brand publicity.

The list aims at selecting the example for China’s tourism brand building and promoting the development of Chinese brand and the industry as well.

This honor and award for Sanya  will certainly further enhance its reputation and popularity in domestic tourism market.
