Have you ever been ripped off while traveling?

I hate haggling. In my home country, if a vendor is selling consumer items without price tags, he can be fined because it is a legal offence. Of course, you can still bargain if you think the price on the tag is too high at certain night markets or flea markets.

Over here, bargaining is everywhere, from big shopping centers to small marketplaces. It is the norm that one just has to get used to, unless you are willing to pay whatever is quoted to you.

But I still don't like that. Can't seem to enjoy this process. Shopping should be about buying things I like, and not about getting worried if the stuff I bought is over-priced, and certainly not about haggling, which I see as unproductive and a waste of time.
