Fujian's exporters optimistic about 2015

Some 62 percent of enterprises in Fujian province predict greater exports next year while 27 percent see flat growth, according to a survey.

Conducted by the provincial government, the survey polled 955 of 1,784 Fujian enterprises attending the 116th Canto Fair, or the China Import and Export Fair.

The consensus was that competition in the export market will become fiercer while export profit margins will reduce.

Fujian’s exports to the European Union and United States were notably on the rise for the first three-quarters of this year, up by 14.5 percent and 7.1 percent year on year, respectively, according to official figures.

Fujian’s enterprises should stress manufacturing and research of mid-to-high-end products in order to continue to expand markets in EU and US, said insiders.
