More than 60 scenic spots in Fujian province will open for free on May 19, which is the fourth National Tourism Day, said the provincial tourism bureau on Monday.

The free entry is one of the more than 300 preferential policies to be promoted by Fujian’s tourism authorities for that day.

The scenic spots to be free include the Sanfangqixiang ancient community in Fuzhou, Guanzhai Mountain in Liancheng, Tour of Revolutionary Sites in Changting, and many other museums, revolutionary memorial halls and stadiums scattered throughout Fujian.

More than 100 popular places of interest will offer big ticket discounts. Visitors to Tianmen Mountain and military museum in Fuzhou, Olympic Stadium in Xiamen, Sandou’ao Scenic Region in Ningde, Xianggong Mountain, Qingyuan Mountain in Quanzhou, and Hakka Earth Buildings in Yongding will enjoy discounts on tickets of 10 to 50 percent.

Many of Fujian’s resorts will offer more incentives for special groups around National Tourism Day. Elderly people, students, and disabled people will be able to buy tickets at lower prices at many tourism destinations.

More than 20 enterprises engaged in hot springs tourism and over 80 hotels across the province will launch special offers in a bid to attract more visitors around National Tourism Day.
