Pingnan county, Fujian province, has decided to increase support for the development of tourism by providing more fiscal and financial subsidies and preferential tax policies, according to county authorities.
The county will set up a special fund for supporting tourism development. The fund, which will receive 5 million yuan ($815,546) each year in the coming three years, will be earmarked for planning, project development and training. The special funding from the provincial and central authorities will also be tilted towards tourism-related sectors.
The county will also provide preferential land policies for tourism. Priority will be given to tourism projects in land supply and approval.
