A political advisor in Liaoning province admitted that he has violated the country's family planning policy after an online post revealed that he has four mistresses and six children.

Li Qingshan, a member of the Liaoning provincial committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, was exposed in an online post of having three sons and three daughters.

The post said that he lived with five women including his wife in a villa compound covering an area 0.26 hectares. The post also alleged that he illegally owns guns.

Li, a businessman, admitted in an interview with the Xinhua News Agency recently that he has three sons and a daughter, and he has violated the country's family planning policy.

But he denied the charges made by the online post.

Information provided by the local civil affairs bureau showed that Li married and divorced three times, said the Xinhua report.

Jinzhou Public Security Bureau refused to comment on the online claim that Li illegally owns guns, said the report.
