"Taiwan authorities should take into consideration the calls from press institutions in both the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, and eliminate obstacles for them to establish permanent press offices across the Straits as soon as possible," Fan Liqing, spokesperson of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said at a routine press conference.
