SEOUL - South Korea, China and Japan are scheduled to hold their sixth meeting aimed at assessing the feasibility of the potential trilateral free trade agreement, the trade ministry said here on Wednesday.
During the three-day meeting opening next Wednesday in the northeast Chinese city of Changchun, representatives from the three Asian countries will discuss a draft of the joint report.
They will also hold a series of working-level meetings on issues including customs procedures, sanitary and phytosanitary ( SPS) barriers and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), according to the ministry.
The three countries launched the joint project last year. Seoul had been in talks with Tokyo over a separate bilateral trade accord, but negotiations made little progress due to their differences over tariff issues.
