How mountainous villages in China climbed out of poverty

Zhang Guixiang is a resident of Xiwu village, Qinyuan county in Changzhi. In 2015 after she fell ill, local government offered her family use of a benefit fund and hired her husband, Zhao Jiusheng, as a forest ranger. In 2018 Zhang's family had an annual income of over 8,000 yuan.
