How mountainous villages in China climbed out of poverty

Cao Jinzhong is the local animal epidemic prevention coordinator of Pushang village, Wuxiang county oin Changzhi. He also takes care of 0.26 hectares of corn and 0.13 hectares of millet.

His family was documented as an impoverished household because his wife lies sick in bed all year round.

Nowadays Cao said medical staff visit his residence regularly and that the local poverty-alleviation team often comes to help them. According to Cao, there are plenty of helping hands now, making life easier.
