Teacher dedicated to Special Olympics

Yao Nan correcting students movements in a roller-skating training class on June 6, 2012. Yao Nan is a PE teacher in Harbin, Heilongjiang province and also a talent scout for Special Olympics athletes. To be chosen for the Special Olympics the athletes must have a learning disability. About 37 of her students have won 71 gold medals in the Special Olympics in the past 12 years. Yao, who used to be a speed skating athlete, has conquered numerous difficulties communicating and educating this team. She has dedicated her life to serving people with disabilities and training athletes for the Special Olympics.[Photo/Xinhua]
