In his speech, Shen said Guangdong has taken the lead in carrying out China's new development path of innovation, coordination, green development, openness and sharing, which was first proposed at the fifth plenary session of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee in October, 2015.

"Guangdong has been committed to energy conservation and emission reduction and developing innovative technologies," said Shen.
