With the theme "I'm from the grasslands", a performance on cultural heritage was staged in the Palace Museum in Beijing to celebrate the 10th Chinese Cultural Heritage Day on June 13. Artists from Inner Mongolian Ethnic Arts Theatre impressed the audience with the charms of Inner Mongolia's intangible cultural heritages at national level, such as the matouqin (horse-head fiddle), hoomii and long tune. The Chinese Cultural Heritage Day started in 2006, and falls on the second Saturday every June.
