Pierre loves Sundays

Famed French chef Pierre Gagnaire combines a traditional French Sunday lunch and a Parisian breakfast at his eponymous restaurant Pierre, with the first Sunday brunch offered at any of his restaurants worldwide. Gagnaire, who recently announced plans to open a restaurant in Shanghai, presents Hong Kong brunchers with 10 starters to share, and then a choice of his signature egg dishes, including nested quail egg with tomato jam. Look for cocotte of scallops with razor clams and salsify among the five options for mains, while pear poached in osmanthus struck our fancy among the desserts. There's also a new black hot chocolate with juniper and white hot chocolate with chestnut for guests with a sweet tooth, and panoramic views of Victoria Harbor for everyone. Inaugural rate for the brunch: HK$688 ($89) plus service charge.
