China and France plan couture collaborations

Chen Dapeng, deputy director of China National Garment Association (top left), Zhang Qinghui, deputy president of China Fashion Association (top right), Ralph Toledano, the Fédération Française de la Couture (below left) and Dominique Jacomet, president of the Institute Francaise de la Mode gave speeches at the China-France Fashion Summit.

The China Fashion Association, the China National Garment Association and the Federation Francaise de la Couture jointly organized a summit at the Institut Francais de la Mode in Paris recently to discuss future collaboration between the fashion industries of China and France.

Chinese fashion designers, including Liang Zi, Ji Wenbo, Shan Yufang and You Hongyan, and managers from some Chinese leading fashion companies shared views and ideas with their French counterparts such as Agnes B and Hermes.

Didier Grumbach, former president of the Federation Francaise de la Couture, and

Dominique Jacomet, president of the Institute Francaise de la Mode, delivered keynote speeches.

The French models also presented a runway show featuring designer Ji Wenbo's latest collection.
