Teachers jailed for pricking pupils with pins

chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2016-10-27 18:29

Four teachers were found guilty of pricking kindergarten pupils with pins by a court in Siping, Jilin province, on Wednesday.

The defendants were jailed for between 10 and 30 months by the court, for child abuse.

Last year, parents of more than 20 children at the kindergarten called the police after discovering several pin pricks on the waists and heads of their sons and daughters.

A forensic investigation discovered one child had been pricked by a pin more than 50 times.

The kindergarten was closed by the local education authority, and the four teachers were detained.
