Drug traffickers arrested in SW China

KUNMING - A drug case was cracked early Wednesday morning in Southwest China's Yunnan province, local authorities announced.

Dai autonomous prefecture of Xishuangbanna police said they had arrested 4 suspects and seized 24 kg of methamphetamine and 1kg of heroin.

Officers received a tip and seized the suspects on the main road to the border.

Xishuangbanna borders on Myanmar and Laos and is very close to one of the major drug sources in the world, the Golden Triangle and has struggled with drug problems in recent years.
