A new exhibition hall dedicated to China's language resource preservation opened on Monday in Changsha, Hunan province, marking a milestone in the country's efforts to protect its linguistic heritage.

Located within the Hunan Museum, the Exhibition Hall of the Project for the Protection of Language Resources of China houses recordings and other language materials collected from more than 1,800 locations across China, alongside more than 30 language-related cultural relics. The digital displays preserve dialects spoken across the country and ancient folk songs from various ethnic groups.
