Backstage at dance drama 'The Orphan of Zhao’

It takes courage to sacrifice for the greater good. Between family and country, it seems like there is no such thing as a balance between loyalty and the lonesome path of righteousness.

Here's a glimpse of the backstage rehearsal of "The Orphan of Zhao" - one of China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater's classic dance dramas.

Restaging this September for the "National Opera and Dance Drama Season" in Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, the production is a new interpretation of the original Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) epic that combines the internationalized art form of a stage performance to promote the essence of traditional Chinese culture.
