Set in a picturesque seaside town in Italy, the coming-of-age tale recounts a young boy's unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. The film is set in the 1950s, as the creators wished to arouse nostalgia about the golden era of film and cinema in Italy, with the crew traveling twice to Italy for inspiration.

On the popular review site Douban, the directorial effort of Italian-American filmmaker Enrico Casarosa has already earned 7.2 points out of ten from some netizens who have watched the film. It was released in the North America on June 18.
