Many late and current members of the China Democratic League are noted artists, such as Wu Zuoren, Pan Tianshou and Wu Guanzhong.

An exhibition in celebration of the China Democratic League's 80th anniversary shows paintings, prints, sculptures, watercolors, sketches and calligraphic works by the party's members.

The exhibition at the National Art Museum of China until June 6 shows 43 works from the museum's own collection and other works submitted by member artists from across the country.

Works on show chronicle historic events of 20th-century China, and depict changing cultural landscapes and natural wonders, hailing the spirit of diversity and harmony.
