On April 24 and 25, Chinese play Yuhuatai was staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

Marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the play pays tribute to the heroes and martyrs who lost their lives fighting for the establishment of the People's Republic of China, culminating in the country's founding in 1949.

Featuring actors and actresses from Nanjing Drama Troupe, the play was written by scriptwriter Gao Cheng and directed by Hu Zongqi.

Since the play's premiere in September 2015, it has been staged for 150 times nationwide.

It portrays heroic characters set against the backdrop of Yuhuatai, a scenic area in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, known for tourist attractions preserving the stories of the martyrs.
