The Beijing municipal government will accelerate its preparations to reopen the Xinfadi wholesale market, the source of a cluster of COVID-19 infections, the city's leading group on epidemic prevention said on Wednesday.
The authority will improve the management of the market and guide vendors to strictly follow epidemic prevention measures.
Meanwhile, preparations are also underway for the resumption of school classes in September.
"All the detailed plans for campus management, class arrangement and training for different grades should be ready before the start of fall semester," said the authority said.
