The Great Wall in Zunhua, Hebei province, is framed by colorful foliage in late autumn, with vibrant leaves setting it off to create a picturesque scene.
Located at the southern foot of the Yanshan Mountains, the wall in Zunhua winds along mountain ridges, stretching more than 75 kilometers from Hongshankou in Xiaochang township in the east to the vicinity of the Eastern Qing Tombs in the west, passing through seven townships.
Built by the Yan state during the Warring States Period (475-221 BC), this section of the wall was renovated and improved through several dynasties, with the existing remains primarily dating to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
