Giant panda Lang Yue safely arrived in Chengdu, the capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, on Saturday morning, after departing from Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen, the Netherlands.
It was then sent to the Ya'an base of China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, where it will be quarantined for at least 30 days.
Lang Yue is the second cub born to giant pandas Wu Wen and Xing Ya, who arrived in the Netherlands in 2017. Their first cub, Fan Xing, was born in May 2020 and left for China in September 2023.
