Current art galleries are providing more services, not only limited to publication, exhibition, and publicity for artists. They also provide art education and cultural exchanges.

In 2017, artworks sold for less than 50,000 yuan ($7,922) in Chinese art galleries occupy 52 percent of the total, and only 5 percent were sold for more than 500,000 yuan, showing a tendency of art collection toward small artwork consumption. Enthusiasts have the greatest purchasing power, occupying 60 percent of art-buying groups, followed by entrepreneurs and celebrities at 27 percent.

The report also shows the fusion of technology, internet and artwork has transformed the traditional landscape of the art industry, and diversified development will be the next direction for the art community.
