Recently in Guangdong province, a young man saved a 3-year old girl who had become trapped in anti-burglar mesh, and a man driving a Lexus took a migrant worker who had collapsed on the street to hospital and paid for his 8,000-yuan ($1,256) medical fee. The two men's acts of kindness should be an example to all of us, says an article in Southern Metropolis Daily. Excerpts:
Both of the men left quickly to avoid being identified.
But they are two of the "heroes" that exist in our daily lives.
Everyone can be a hero like the two young men in Guangdong. They are good examples for us to follow and they should inspire us to become more kind-hearted.
Helping others is simple, but it is important if society is to develop. If we feel that ethics and morality are in decline, we should first ask what we can do for the people around us.
Ordinary people who do good deeds are more persuasive than any morality campaign. No matter what your job is, one has the responsibility to build moral principles and actively join the construction of society.
Ordinary heroes can inspire us to learn from their actions, which is the beginning of social progress.
