Pingnan county, in Fujian province, has been promoting economic growth by pushing the construction of more industrial parks and is currently working on a 607-hectare province-level park, emphasizing its importance in attracting more projects and investment.

Pingnan says it is also stick to a project green standard that forbids pollution.

The Fujian Yongfeng Biotechnology Development Co is one example of a green food producer, one can produce and process edible mushrooms all year round. Last year, it signed an agreement with the county government to use the industrial park for its factories and offices and completed construction work by Sept 18, 2012, on a 50-million-yuan ($8.15 million) deal on 13,333 square meters of ground. This created more than 100 jobs for the county.

“Our next goal is to produce up to 40 tons of mushrooms, every day, by adding four new production lines to guarantee enough raw materials for processing,” said Chen Zhenhou, Yongfeng’s GM.
