Modernizing the taxation in China by the year of 2020 has become the common goal that all the Chinese tax officials have been working towards. Many works have achieved remarkable recognition in the process.
In the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, governments were forced to reduce public spending, increase taxes and implement a wide range of austerity measures, while many companies received taxpayer-funded bailouts.
Like any good organization, tax authorities need to continually adapt to the times they are in.
