Xi'an Jiaotong University, one of China's 10 best, saw most of its graduates get jobs this year.

According to President Wang Shuguo, the initial employment rate of university graduates was 96.06 percent, and the rate for post-graduates reached 96.36 percent by the end of June.

In 2014, the school had a total of 6,398 graduates, with 3,328 from undergraduate programs and 3,070 from post-graduate programs.

The university enjoyed good employment because its graduates matched both social needs and the quality requirements of employers, Wang said.

The university, which was established in 1896, is a comprehensive research university with 10 disciplines — science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, literature, law, philosophy, education and the arts.
