Editor's note: This year's Beijing auto show is attracting more than 2,000 exhibitors to showcase 1,134 vehicles. Among them, a record 118 will be world premieres, according to event organizers.

Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge

Based on the Infiniti Q50 sports sedan, the Eau Rouge is an F1-inspired concept car and has been tested by four-time F1 champion Sebastian Vettel.

The performance car is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 twin turbo engine, which gives peak power of 418 kW and torque of up to 600 Nm. It can accelerate from zero to 60 miles (96 km) in 4 seconds and has a maximum speed of 290 km/h. Location: W306

All-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The new C-Class on display is an extended C-Class model tailored to Chinese customers for the first time. The wheelbase is 2920 mm, which is 160 mm longer than the previous generation, and gives passengers more legroom, especially in the rear. The new model's width is also 40 mm larger than the standard version. Design and tech features include a touch screen with Chinese character writing, LED headlights and a lighter, stronger body made from high-strength aluminum. Location: W4

All-new BMW X4

The all-new BMW X4 melds the hallmark features of the successful BMW X family with the sporting elegance of a classical coupe.

With the X4, BMW now brings this unique concept of the Sports Activity Coupe to the premium mid-size segment. This dynamic pedigree is underlined by cutting-edge high-performance engines, the xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an exclusive spread of standard equipment features such as variable sport steering, performance control and a sports leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles. Maserati Alfieri concept

Now on display in Beijing, the concept car was launched to celebrate the brand's centenary at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

According to the company, the Alfieri concept represents the true essence of the Maserati brand in terms of design. It is a sleek, Italian-style model like the 1957 3500 GT, the 1959 5000 GT and the 1969 Indy before it, and clearly affirms Maserati's racing DNA. Sportier in character than the GranTurismo, the Alfieri boasts proportions that might well be archetypal for a future Gran Sport and are certainly a hint at the brand's stylistic intentions for the near future. Bugatti Legend 'Black Bess'

As with each model in the supercar brand's Legends series, the fifth-edition car - called Black Bess - is limited to three examples and is based on a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.

The car boasts an 8-liter W16 engine, which delivers 1,200 hp in peak power and 1,500 Nm in top torque. It can sprint from zero to 100 km in 2.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 409 km/h, making it the fastest production convertible in the world.

The model is built to honor the Type 18 - the historic Bugatti that was the fastest road car in the early 20th century. Location: E504

Porsche Boxster GTS

One of the two most powerful and fastest mid-engine sports models by Porsche - along with the Cayman GTS - the Boxster GTS sets new benchmarks for sportiness in its segment.

The Boxster GTS is equipped with a 3.4-liter six-cylinder boxer engine. Thanks to optimized fine tuning, the engine now delivers 11 kW more power than the previous model, boosting an top output to 243 kW. The Boxster GTS can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, setting a new reference value in its segment. Location: E505

Ferrari California T

The Ferrari California T epitomizes the sublime elegance, sportiness, versatility and exclusivity that have distinguished every California model since the 1950s.

Like all Ferraris, it boasts cutting-edge technological solutions that make it unique, most notably the new turbocharged V8 engine.

The California T sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds flat and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds. It is also 15 percent more fuel efficient than the previous California. Emissions have also been cut to 250 g/km on the combined cycle, the equivalent of 20 percent. Location: E4

Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4

After its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show last month, the all-new Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 is now in Beijing for its Asian premiere.

A successor of super-luxury brand's flagship model Gallardo, the car features dedicated design, innovative technologies and super performance. It is equipped with the brand's newest 5.2-liter naturally aspired V10 engine that produce a peak power of 610 hp. It can accelerate from zero to 100 km in 3,2 seconds, with top speed reaching 325 km/h. Location: E503

All-new Ford Mustang

Ford's new sports car model at the Beijing Auto Show has two engine options: the 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged and the 5.0-liter V8. The 2.3L version has torque of up to 407 Nm and peak power of 227 kW, while the V8 delivers 529 Nm and 313 kW.

The new model is equipped with a number of innovative technologies, including the BLIS blind point informing system, the self-adaptive smart navigation system and the SYNC AppLink infotainment system.

The model is scheduled to go on sale in China in 2015. Location: W3

Geely Emgrand Cross

Domestic automaker Geely unveiled the Emgrand Cross - a plug-in hybrid concept - to the world for the first time at the Beijing Auto Show.

Built on Geely's Framework Extendable platform, the concept car has a full-charge travel distance of 650 km, with a travel range of 50 km in pure electric mode. It accelerates from zero to 100 km in 10 seconds, with a top speed of 190 km/h. Its CO2 emission is less than 49 g/km. Location: W204

Nissan BladeGlider

Nissan is surprising the Chinese audience at the Beijing Auto Show with the BladeGlider concept, one of the most unconventional vehicles on show. The pure electric car has its heavy components such as the lithium-ion batteries sitting over the rear wheels, resulting in better traction off the line. Its structure featuring narrow front and wider rear tire distances leads to great aerodynamic improvements for lower wind drag and high stability. Other unique innovations include the seating position arrangement that has the driver sitting in the center ahead of two passengers, presenting drivers with a far wider view. Location: W2

Audi A3 Sportback e-tron

Representing Audi's future direction of sustainable mobility, the plug-in hybrid is paired with a 1.4-liter TFSI turbocharged engine that produces a peak power of 110 kW and an electric motor that can deliver up to 75 kW. In combination, the system can have a peak power of 150 kW and top torque of 350 Nm.

The model can accelerate from zero to 100 km in 7.6 seconds, with a top speed of 222 km/h. Its fuel consumption is 1.5 liter per 100 km and CO2 emission 35 g/km. Location: E5
