Chinese FM holds talks with Moroccan king's envoy

BEIJING - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Taib Fassi Fihri, special envoy of Moroccan King Mohammed VI, on Friday.

Wang highlighted the two nations' tradition of friendship and fruitful cooperation in various fields.

China would like to further enhance political mutual trust, personnel exchanges and economic cooperation with Morocco in the new era, he noted.

Fihri expressed appreciation for China's invaluable assistance to Morocco during the past decades, as well as hopes for boosting bilateral relations to a new level.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues such as China-Africa ties, the Western Sahara and the situation in Syria.
