The Ministry of Railways (MOR) dispatched 318 cadres to conduct safety checks on all railways and coordinated the safety inspection team on high-speed railways sent by the State Council, China's Cabinet, the People's Railway Daily reported.
The number of dispatched cadres accounts for 35.2 percent of the ministry's cadres. Fifty-one of the cadres are working with the State Council's safety inspection team on high-speed railways.
China's rail minister has ordered a two-month safety check on railway operations after the July deadly train crash that killed 40 people.
Twelve teams have been sent by the State Council to inspect the railway system for flaws.
