NANNING - A man killed himself after he injured six people with a knife in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, said local authorities Tuesday.
The incident occurred during the early hours of Monday morning in Longsheng county in the city of Guilin, said a spokesman with the city's public security bureau.
Liang Xiuzhang, 24, stabbed four acquaintances in an entertainment center and a motorcycle driver as he fled the site, said the spokesman.
Later, Liang injured a 41-year-old woman after he broke into her home in an apartment building located opposite to the center. He then leaped from the building to his death.
He was identified as a resident of Datan village in the township of Sanmen in Longsheng.
The six injured are hospitalized, with two in critical condition, said the spokesman.
Police continue to investigate.
