Who's who of Alibaba's inner circle

Peng Jiang, Vice President and Deputy Chief Technology Officer; President, Alibaba Cloud Computing, Yun OS and Digital Entertainment

The Tsinghua graduate joined Alibaba in 2000. He co-founded Taobao and served as its CEO. Jiang is known to be prudent and enjoys low-profile.

Jianhang Jin, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs

As one of the 18 founders of Alibaba, Jin joined the company with previous experience as a veteran reporter. He has been responsible for media and governmental relations as well as marketing.

Eric Jing, Chief Financial Officer, Small and Micro Financial Services Group

Prior to Alibaba, Jing worked as CFO of Pepsi Coke in Guangzhou from 2004 to 2006. He is a fan of Starbucks and Karaoke, serious but easygoing, TMT Post reported quoting his colleagues.

Zhenfei Liu, Vice President, Infrastructure Operations

Prior to Alibaba, Liu developed software for Microsoft China. The IT talent serves as Vice President of the group, in charge of infrastructure operations.

Sabrina Peng, Vice President, Small and Micro Financial Services Group

The 35-year-old is the youngest partner. She is in charge of international business of Alibaba's Small and Micro Financial Services Company.

Xiaofeng Shao, Chief Risk Officer

The ex-police officer is in charge of cyber security affairs and serves as Chief Risk Officer. He is said to accompany Ma Yun to most public activities.

Timothy Steinert, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

The Yale graduate has been Alibaba's general counsel since July 2007 and also serves as corporate secretary. Before joining the company, he was a partner in the Hong Kong office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. From 1994 to 1999, he was an associate attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell in Hong Kong and New York, and from 1989 to 1994, he was an associate attorney at Coudert Brothers in Beijing and New York.

Judy Tong, Chief Operating Officer, China Smart Logistics Network

Tong represents the legendary in Alibaba, as she joined the company as a receptionist and worked her way up to the COO of China Smart Logistics Network, a joint venture Alibaba recently founded with an ambition to take over China's logistics business.

Jian Wang, Chief Technology Officer

Jian Wang has served as chief technology officer of Alibaba since 2012, four years after his joining the company. He also served as president of Alibaba Cloud Computing from its inception between 2009 until and 2013. Prior to Alibaba, Wang worked at Zhejiang University as a professor and head of the psychology department.
