By Beautiful colors are pleasing not just to eyes, but also to the palate.

Aroma, an all-day-dining restaurant, is preparing a color-themed buffet lunch for the first three days of each week this summer.

The featured colors are red on Monday, white on Tuesday and pink on Wednesday. On Mondays, female diners will receive a cup of raspberry lavender mousse cake.

On Tuesdays, they will be offered white chocolate and the dessert on Wednesdays will be a pink strawberry panna cotta. The restaurant bar will also concoct mocktails for the three days: a "wonder watermelon", a vanilla milkshake and a "pinky peachy" drink.

Li Zhaodong, Aroma’s executive chef, said there will be red, white and pink colors in the main dishes on the buffet, too.

For example, Australian Angus beef is red, sea bass is white, and tuna and salmon sashimi are pink. However, the color theme is mostly reflected in the drinks and desserts on the buffet. Strawberries and raspberries are used in mousses, cakes, fruit jellies and macaroons, or simply as garnishes. “These bright colors make the food tempting,” Li said.

"Also, the sour taste of the fruits heightens appetites in the hot weather." Aroma’s extensive buffet features more than 100 food items, in Chinese, Western, Indian and Japanese cuisine styles.

Ladies who dress to match the special color theme of the day also have the chance to win lucky draw prizes. The buffet lunch costs 318 yuan ($51.40) plus 15 percent surcharge per person.
