AIDS patients from illegal blood selling

Shi Xiaobing (alias), in 60s, who contracted the HIV virus through the illegal practice of blood donation, is seen at his home in Xiaxian county, Yuncheng city of Shanxi province, Nov 8, 2014. Shi said he sold blood for money to some private blood banks once in 1990s, and was diagnosed with HIV in 2004. His wife was diagnosed two years later. He said the rampant underground blood donations have infected some villagers with the virus. He now relies on the free medicine the government provides, and does chores for fellow villagers for a living. [Photo/IC]
