 Large Medium  SmallTAIYUAN - Three people were killed in a construction site collapse on Wednesday in Northwest China's Shanxi province, local authorities said Thursday.
The accident occurred around 6:50 pm at a Xinfei Group construction site in the village of Maojiazhuang in Liulin county, sources with the county's press office said.
All three workers died after they were sent to a local hospital, the sources said.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
It was the country's third scaffolding collapse within a week.
On Tuesday, a scaffolding collapse killed five people at a construction site in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
On Sunday, a similar collapse in Fuzhou, capital of Southeast China's Fujian province, left two dead and two others injured.
