The 'Society Care' project, carried out by Nippon Paint China, recently received an honorable mention in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) category of the Ragan Awards. The project stood out at the awards from over 100 CSR programs around the world.

'Society Care' is part of Nippon Paint's CSR Five Responsibility Projects. The project's primary aim is to offer help to local vulnerable groups residing near Nippon Paint's plants and offices, especially for city dwellers that are easily neglected, such as low-income elderly families, disabled people and poverty-stricken students. In the event of severe disasters and emergencies, 'Society Care' also provides aid to those who need it most.

In 2014, Nippon Paint China initiated its 'Refresh for Love' project, which has since received the support of over 1,000 staff volunteers. The project covers the nine cities of Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Wenzhou, Suzhou, Langfang, Tianjin and Chengdu. It includes activities such as donations of coatings and painting brushes, renovating old houses, caring for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) patients and building houses for poor families in Sichuan province.
